Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance is a public-private partnership committed to saving children’s lives and protecting people’s health by increasing equitable use of vaccines in lower-income countries. THE ROLE

Please note this is a temporary role (1 year).

We are seeking for a Manager, Talent Acquisition to attract, source and select the future Gavi talent for early career and confirmed professional roles. The person is expected to develop an internal and external pipeline of talent for future roles. The Manager, Talent Acquisition will work closely with hiring managers and the HR team to identify and attract talent ensuring alignment with Gavi’s mission and values. Your role involves being a brand ambassador, a trusted internal consultant on recruitment and selection, and an active participant in talent management initiatives.

 

 

Talent Acquisition and Advisory
Own the full recruitment cycle for early career to confirmed professional roles, aligning talent acquisition strategies with team and departmental goals. Guide hiring managers on selection methods and interview questions, ensuring recruitment processes are effective, and align with role requirements and organisational objectives.

Business and Position Context Understanding
Ability to quickly grasp business needs and specific job contexts. Offer relevant advice to hiring managers, ensuring a perfect alignment between talent acquisition process and business requirements.

Consistency and Insightful Challenge
Ensure consistent and equitable application of selection tools and processes across all candidates. Challenge assumptions and provide insights to identify the best fit for the role and the organisation, enhancing the overall quality of recruitment.

Workforce Planning and Market Trend Analysis
Participate in workforce planning activities in collaboration with HR BPs and hiring managers. Understand future talent needs, identify skill gaps, and stay informed about market trends and best practices in talent acquisition.

Continuous Improvement and Stakeholder Engagement
Continuously seek to improve talent acquisition processes, incorporating innovative tools and techniques. Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, maintaining Gavi’s reputation as an employer of choice and ensuring a positive candidate experience.

Data Management, Reporting, and Brand Promotion
Input recruitment data accurately in the system, able to develop recruitment metrics, report and analyse them as needed to HR and hiring managers. Promote Gavi’s brand effectively in all recruitment activities and interactions with candidates, universities, specialised professional institutions.

 

 

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in recruitment and talent acquisition, preferably in an international environment, familiarity with public health sector would be an asset;
• Experience in managing full recruitment cycles, including specialist and volume campaigns with focus on early careers to confirmed professional roles;
• Excellent knowledge with and use of the latest recruitment technologies, applicant tracking systems, and social media platforms for talent sourcing and employer branding as well as recruitment Management Systems and HR Management Systems;
• Experience in building and maintaining professional relationships, both internally and externally, creating talent pools and sourcing candidates;
• Preferred experience in defining early career recruitment campaigns via Social Media;
• Preferred experience in analysing HR and recruitment data to identify trends, forecast needs, and measure the effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies;
• Good understanding of diversity and inclusion measures and their application in the recruitment process.

 

 

• Talent Acquisition: efficiency in talent planning, including sourcing, screening, and selecting candidates, coupled with a good understanding of HR functions (HR Business Partners, DE&I, Talent Management);
• Business Understanding and Consultative Skills: ability to align talent acquisition with departmental needs, and provide consultative advice to hiring managers;
• Analytical and Project Management Abilities: Ability to analyse recruitment data to manage recruitments effectively, demonstrating organisational and planning skills. Efficiency oriented mindset and ability to optimise selection processes;
• Communication and Relationship-Building: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective engagement with internal and external parties, relationship-building, and employer branding;
• Problem-Solving and solution orientation: Creative and critical thinking skills for problem-solving, with a flexible and pragmatic approach to challenges in recruitment;
• Multicultural Sensitivity: Good influencing skills, with a strong understanding and sensitivity to multicultural environments and inclusive practices.

 

 

• Fluent English is required;
• Fluency in French is an asset.

 

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Human Resources Management, Organisational Psychology or a related field;
• Complementary certifications in candidates’ assessment tools would be an asset.
