Position Overview

The Pan American Development Foundation is recruiting a new Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Associate to provide support in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and program reporting. Working under the supervision of the M&E Manager and the Regional Director in headquarters, the Monitoring and Evaluation Associate will assist in the demonstration and measurement of PADF’s program’s impact and outreach.
This position will be based in Washington, D.C.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of the Monitoring & Evaluation Strategy and relevant guidelines for tracking program achievements and outcomes.
  • Support and corroborate appropriate information flow, useful for program tracking and assessment of changes incurred for strategic decision by management.
  • Work directly with sub-awardees and field-based staff towards the collection and maintenance of project indicators.
  • Review project indicators to ensure the authentication of quantity and quality of program achievements.
  • Assist with all data management processes, including cleaning, standardization, and unification.
  • Contribute to program enhancement through sharing findings from continuous assessments. Support planning and strategic decision-making.
  • Undertake any other functions or responsibilities which may be assigned by the program management team.
  • Promote knowledge management and a learning environment through leadership and personal example.
  • Work towards continuing personal learning and development.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to and responsiveness to all partners.
  • Maintain respectful and helpful relations with all PADF staff in headquarters and the field.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Sociology, International Development or relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated good oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • At least one (1) year of working experience in an M&E role (or similar) in the field of development with a public institution, national or international NGO, donor, or development agency.
  • Demonstrated experience using advanced Excel.
  • Proven experience and skills in developing monitoring, evaluation tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the use of statistical computing software such as R, Tableau, PowerBI, or similar preferred.

Salary Range: $64,000 – $73,000.

A candidate’s salary is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, and internal organizational equity.
