Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly qualified MMC Officer – Information Management Officer to support the management of quantitative data for the Mixed Migration Centre West Africa and North Africa.
About the job
The Mixed Migration Centre engages in data collection, research, analysis and policy development on mixed migration in West Africa and North Africa. Our primary objectives are to fill the knowledge gap on mixed migration in the region; to inform programming for refugees and migrants, particularly in the area of protection; and to inform policy-making around the rights and protection of people on the move. MMC’s flagship data collection project 4Mi currently operates in a variety of countries in the region. Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to be responsible to implement data checks, cleaning, validation, storage and supporting analysis of the 4Mi data, in close coordination and collaboration with the Information Management Specialist and other Information Management Officers. You will also serve as a focal point on quantitative data management and visualization, supporting the development and adaptation of tracking and survey tools and the drafting research products based on quantitative data. Contributing to better use of data, you will also provide support on data collection and management trainings, support with monitor network supervision, support the team with administrative tasks, among other responsibilities.
