JOB PURPOSE

This role delivers excellent design across a range of platforms, ensuring content is of the highest standard, adheres to our brand guidelines and is in line with our strategic objectives. Working collaboratively with other creative colleagues, brand strategists, campaigners and supporter engagement specialists, the Multichannel Designer acts as a guardian and a champion to support the wider brand and communications objectives.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who thinks creatively, is highly inspired and has a well thought through portfolio of work to reflect this. You will have experience designing digital content for a range of platforms, including Instagram and Tiktok, and be committed to working for a human rights organisation. Experience in activism and campaigning, as well as in a multilingual organisation is desirable.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create designs for digital and print products to effectively convey issues and messages through Amnesty International’s websites, social media channels, email, campaigning and fundraising materials, reports, press kits and other toolkit templates.
  • Brief and advise on design style, format, production and timescales
  • Develop concepts, graphics and layouts for campaigning, research, and marketing content in line with marketing strategies
  • Ensure outputs follow Amnesty International’s global brand and visual identity, and have target audiences in mind
  • Support capacity building in the movement by developing appropriate design solutions in accessible templates for regional use and localization

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Solid experience in designing within brand guidelines and for both print materials and digital platforms.
  • Experience adapting content across multiple platforms including Instagram and TikTok to physical mail-outs and posters.
  • Experienced in designing with and creating templates from Canva to WordPress.
  • You will be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and able to work with little supervision and as part of a team, to deliver innovative and impactful print and digital projects from concept to final execution.
  • You will be confident in effectively managing internal and external stakeholders at all levels and possess experience in working closely with freelancers, agencies and external suppliers and contractors.
