On 25 March 2024 the building of the Mykhailo Boychuk Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design, located at 32 Mykhailo Boychuk Street in the Pechersk district of Kyiv, was impacted by the fragments of a missile strike.
The part of the building including the sport hall, the concert hall and ceramic workshop, as well as the exhibition gallery, was destroyed. The premises of the Academy’s departments and classrooms also sustained significant damage.
Based on the analysis of the outcomes of the on-site visual inspection and the general assessment of the technical condition of the main structural elements and internal utilities, the technical condition of the buildings of the assembly hall and the educational building of the Mykhailo Boychuk Kyiv State Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design, as an object in general at the present state, is defined as emergency.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
A specialist individual or entity bearing the appropriate certification to perform such report and supervision of works – in line with the Ukrainian law and regulations, shall perform the following:
EXPECTED DELIVERABLES
Deliverable 1 – Month 1: Submit to UNESCO an expert report in Ukrainian and English describing tasks under points 1-4.
Deliverable 2 – Month 2: Submit to UNESCO an expert report in Ukrainian and English describing the execution of the tasks described under point 5.
In the conditions of the legal regime of martial law in Ukraine in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On the Legal Regime of Martial Law” and within 90 calendar days after the termination or cancellation of martial law, the inspection of damaged properties shall be carried out by the performers specified in clause 2 of the Regulation and/or specialists of other professions who have passed professional certification, namely:
