Background:

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Public Participation Section (S3 level), the successful candidate will be tasked with the following duties:

  1. Coordinating ExB project implementation, and ensuring that the project activities are successfully implementing in accordance with the project objective throughout the project cycle, including: meeting relevant interlocutors; designing and implementing action plans and timelines; monitoring budget implementation to ensure compliance with donor requirements and OSCE’s policies and procedures; supporting the documentation of the project for monitoring and reporting purposes; advise the Project Manager on Project related risks, and relevant mitigating measures to be adopted;
  2. Collaborating closely with OMiS colleagues to ensure alignment across the project; Establishing and maintaining regular contacts with direct beneficiaries and all other relevant interlocutors involved in the field of advancing young women role in inter-community dialogue and trust-building;
  3. Drafting activity reports, technical/outcome reports, progressing reports as well as the annual final self-evaluation reports. Drafting all additional reports donors might request throughout the project cycle. Coordinating the collation of information and the developing of knowledge products, resources and publications related to the project;
  4. Coordinating and supporting the planning and organization of activities and events, including: preparing and compiling relevant background material and documentation, such as concept notes, agendas/programmes, briefs, etc.; identifying participants; planning and securing the needed logistical arrangements such as accommodation, transportation, translation services etc.; timely reporting and adequate archiving of all relevant activity documents;
  5. Leading the organization of bi-annual meeting of the ExB Project Steering Board, including: timely disseminating invitation, ensuring all needed logistical and administrative arrangements; Ensuring the meetings are adequately recorded;
  6. Ensuring dissemination of project outputs; supporting communication-related activities, including communications/outreach strategy, and social media to disseminate information and managing the visibility of the project in line with OSCE Mission in Kosovo and donor requirements

  1. Necessary Qualifications:
  • First level university degree in Gender Studies, Development Studies, Social and Political Sciences, Law, Inter-disciplinary studies or other relevant discipline;
  • A minimum two years of professional-level experience with international, inter-governmental or civil society organizations, preferably working in the field of gender equality, women’s empowerment and women’s public participation;
  • Excellent project management knowledge;
  • Experience working with relevant women’s / gender organizations or thematic issues is considered an advantage;
  • Experience working on projects funded by multiple donors;
  • Computer literate with practical experience with Microsoft applications;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and at least one local language.

Remuneration Package:

Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions is 1,609.42 Euro/month.

Social benefits will include participation in the OSCE group medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund.

Appointments are normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. At the discretion of the appointing authority a higher step may be approved up to a maximum of step 3 subject to specific conditions.

Please note that for this position the OSCE does not reimburse expenses such as travel in connection with interviews, tests, visas and relocation. Please be aware that the OSCE does not request payment at any stage of the application and review process.

The mandatory retirement age at the OSCE is 65 years for contracted positions at the general service, professional and
director level. The Organization shall apply an age limit of 63 years at the time of appointment as the incumbent selected
is normally expected to carry out the contractual obligation of two years.
