The Network and Advocacy Advisor will report to the Objective 2 Technical Lead and work closely with the Objective 3 team to support the advocacy, coalition building, and stakeholder engagement aspects of the Activity. S/He will liaise with the project team to map, understand, and strengthen connections, ensuring that partners at the center and the periphery of their networks have a platform for engagement. As the expert, s/he will design and inform activities across the three results areas and will provide leadership in advocacy skills building.
• Master’s degree in political science, government, public policy, law, communications, journalism, or other relevant field.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in civil society advocacy in Tunisia.
• Experience with a USAID-funded programming strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, initiative, and good judgment.
• Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
• Demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective working relations with host country government personnel, stakeholders, NGO partners, and international donor agencies.
• Ability to work independently and manage a high volume work flow without constant or close supervision and ability and willingness to travel to program areas and internationally as required.
• Excellent training skills in working with adult learners, particularly at the community level; experience in an appreciative approach a plus.
• Strong writing and oral presentation skills, including professional fluency in Arabic and English
• Tunisian nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Work authorization in Tunisia required.
