About the job(s)

Based in Braine L’Alleud (Great Brussels region), Belgium you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will be responsible for performing duties across all service management dimensions and the entire Service Value System (SVS) of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services at various expertise levels. The duties will cover both projects, operational services, and future capabilities. These are multiple network technician and engineer roles that focus on the WAN, LAN, including WiFi and Data Centre (DC), within the static and deployable networks infrastructure services throughout NATO.

Through this Recruitment Campaign, we are aiming to find multiple candidates that will be offered posts . Your qualification and suitability for the posts will be assessed throughout the Campaign. About you

We are looking for talented and knowledgeable network professionals with different backgrounds (please review our job description).

Focus:

  • Experience of multivendor (e.g. Cisco, Nokia, Dell) Routing (WAN) and Switching (LAN), as well as Enterprise environments;
  • Experience with the configuration and operation of HP Network Automation or equivalent network automation and orchestration systems;
  • Experience with the configuration and operation of Network Monitoring and Event Management systems , e.g. Spectrum, Splunk;
  • Minimum qualification of associate level certification (e.g. CCNA, NRS I, DCA)
  • Proven experience in the use of an Incident Management System such as BMC ITSM;
  • Knowledge of implementing and operating WAN and LAN technologies within an Enterprise and Services Provider network;
  • Knowledge of operating network authentication and authorization systems and technologies (e.g. Secure ACS 5.x, 802.1x, 802.1ae MACSEC, RADIUS, TACACS , ISE);
  • Knowledge of commercial IPSEC encryption solutions such as Secure Virtual Tunnels (sVTI), SSLVPN, DMVPN, GETVPN, Cisco ASA.

Knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is essential.

Please note that ALL SELECTED CANDIDATES, with the exception of currently employed NATO International Civilians (NIC’s) will be appointed at the first Increment of the indicated NATO Grade, i.e. NATO Grade X, Increment 1.This is the salary referred to in this vacancy notice. Extra increments can only be considered for candidates from another Co-Ordinated Organisation.

Selected candidates who are not nationals of the host country and who have not been continuously resident in the host country for at least one year may be eligible for an expatriate allowance. For the purposes of determining continuous residence, NATO considers mainly the work location at the time recruitment started, independent of whether various ties were kept with the home country.
