Office Assistant, B-PEMS AugroJatra Climate Change LOCATION: Dhaka, Bangladesh GROUP: Human Rights, Education, and Empowerment REPORTS TO: Grants and Operations Manager, B-PEMS AugroJatra Climate Change POSITION SUMMARY: The Office Assistant will be responsible for providing day-to-day clerical support services to the B-PEMS AugroJatra Climate Change (AugroJatra) project team under the guidance of the Grants and Operations Manager. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist the project team in organizing national and international travel and other events; Provide photocopy, scanning, and binding related services; Pick-up and delivery of routine mail and project documents as and when necessary; Distribute mail and messages to the project team members; Arrange refreshments and other services during meetings, conferences, and workshops; Assist in cleaning and maintaining office premises, furniture, and equipment; Assist in organizing rooms for training purposes and provide other support services to the training team; Provide assistance in counting expendable supplies and communications materials on arrival, their storage, and conducting periodic inventories; Collect quotes from vendors as and when needed; communicate with vendors, and others as directed; Shop in-person for office supplies, refreshments, and other small project necessities; Assist the project team in bank related clerical services; and Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Higher Secondary Certification or higher. Professional: At least three years of experience in a similar position. Skills: Good written and oral communication skills in Bangla; Computer skills including email, internet searching, and basic document functions; Good interpersonal skills; and Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and manage multiple competing priorities and activities.
