Mission and objectives

The Frontier Tech Leaders Programme is a joint initiative of UNDP Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (ICPSD) SDG AI Lab and UN Technology Bank for Least Developed Countries and supported by the Government of Türkiye. The Frontier Tech Leaders Programme aims to raise a new generation of tech specialists to strengthen local capacities and develop digital solutions for the LDCs (Least Developed Countries) towards achieving the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). Furthermore, the initiative will inspire young people as well as promote gender equality, encouraging women to pursue tech education and careers.

Context

The Frontier Tech Leaders Programme Machine Learning Bootcamp begins in November. Volunteers are expected to deliver live online lectures on Python, Data Science, and engineering software. Additionally, they will facilitate pair coding sessions with students. Comprehensive materials for all sessions will be provided.

Task Description

The Online Volunteers are expected to : Conduct 5-6 live lectures(online) on Data Science for Sustainable Development Goals, Docker, Power BI and Deployment webinars starting between December 6th and January 30th. Possess advanced knowledge of Python, Machine Learning, Data Science to effectively convey complex concepts. Conduct Pair Coding session. Demonstrate practical skills through live coding sessions. Provide a pre-recorded demo before the sessions. Dedicate sufficient time for preparation and teaching. (Evening sessions during the weekdays and morning sessions on the weekend)
