About Farmer-to-Farmer 
The Farmer-to-Farmer (F2F) program promotes sustainable economic growth, food security and agricultural development worldwide. Volunteer technical assistance from US farmers, agribusinesses, cooperatives, and universities helps low-and middle-income countries improve productivity, access new markets, build local capacity, combat climate change and conserve environmental and natural resources. The F2F Program is funded by the US Agency for International Development through the US Farm Bill.

Job Summary

The F2F Operations Specialist provides specialized support and assistance to achieve all aspects of Farmer-to-Farmer (F2F) volunteer recruitment and placement to multiple F2F country programs. (S)he identifies and seeks solutions to routine operational problems, using standard sources of information.

Roles and Key Responsibilities:

Recruit highly qualified volunteers for short-term assignments in CRS F2F’s core implementation countries. Liaise with F2F staff in country program offices to ensure successful preparation for and implementation of volunteer assignments. Provide support to CP staff as needed.

Respond to and resolve escalated issues in daily recruitment and logistics activities. Conduct day-to-day problem solving as needed.

Collaborate with country teams and lead weekly meetings to monitor volunteer management and track progress toward targets.

Perform compliance checks of administrative processes and data management of F2F associate awards.

Provide training, as needed, to new team members on administrative processes to ensure smooth volunteer management.

Under the leadership of the Operations Manager, support the proper use and maintenance of the CRS F2F Salesforce database.

Provide support to the F2F team’s social media outreach (Facebook), CRS F2F website, and CRS F2F photo database.

Identify outreach opportunities and represent CRS F2F at career fairs, conferences, and networking events to attract and retain talented professionals, enhancing F2F’s brand visibility and expanding volunteer recruitment efforts.

Organize and facilitate CRS F2F Townhall meetings every two months.

Evaluate, identify, and recommend modifications to procedures, contributing to ongoing F2F operational efficiency. Implement and maintain internal tracking systems to monitor functions related to volunteer management.

Oversee volunteer engagement initiatives, including the creation and distribution of a bi-weekly email.

Apply diplomacy and negotiation skills, working effectively as an individual contributor or team member to achieve common goals.

Basic Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Minimum of two to three years of progressively responsible work experience.

Proficiency in a variety of computer software applications.

Strong time management skills, ability to multitask.

Strong communication skills, able to edit and proofread documents.

Travel – Must be willing and able to travel up to 10 % of the time.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Good strategic, analytical, systems thinking, and problem-solving skills and ability to make sound judgment and decisions.

Ability to work collaboratively.
