Mission and objectives

The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme is the UN organization that promotes volunteerism to support peace and development worldwide. Volunteerism can transform the pace and nature of development and it benefits both society at large and the individual volunteer. UNV contributes to peace and development by advocating for volunteerism globally, encouraging partners to integrate volunteerism into development programming, and mobilizing volunteers.

Context

Rendre les services plus accessibles : Les citoyens peuvent accéder à des services administratifs en ligne, 24h/24 et 7j/7, sans avoir besoin de se déplacer. Simplifier les démarches administratives : Le recours à des plateformes numériques simplifie les procédures complexes et réduit le temps d’attente pour obtenir des réponses ou des documents. Renforcer la transparence et la responsabilité : Les outils numériques offrent un suivi en temps réel et permettent un meilleur contrôle de l’utilisation des fonds publics. Promouvoir l’inclusion numérique : Faciliter l’accès à des services en ligne permet de toucher une population plus large, notamment ceux qui n’ont pas accès aux services traditionnels.

Task Description

We are looking for 20 experienced and creative Online Volunteers who will support our communications team with the development of an outreach/social media campaign. In close collaboration with the communications team, the Online Volunteers will: – Discuss and define the campaign’s target audience, desired goals, and outcome – Analyze target audience and develop an audience profile – Define specific message/s and medium/tool to convey message/s to the target audience – Develop the campaign’s implementation plan The Online Volunteer will be provided with material and other sources to develop the outreach/social media campaign as required and available. For close coordination and discussion, the Online Volunteer is expected to be available for calls via Skype/Zoom/Microsoft Teams. This assignment provides Online Volunteers with an opportunity to develop and strengthen their skills in communication, networking within the communications team and other learning experiences.
