Your role will help us drive our Pacific Strategy to improve the lives of Pacific children so that they have access to safe and inclusive education, can be healthy and resilient to the impacts of climate change, and live free from violence in their homes and communities.

Where you come in:

Reporting to the Regional Director of Pacific Programs, you will be part of the Pacific team, and be responsible for growing Save the Children funding and partnerships across the region. This is a full-time position, based in the Pacific, Australia or New Zealand.

You will make an impact by:

  • Supporting the advancement of our Pacific Regional Strategy by identifying new business development opportunities across the Pacific region
  • Enabling Country Directors, Program Directors and technical teams to build strong relationships and funding partners
  • Building the capacity of business development experience in our Country Office teams
  • Developing proposals and providing coaching and feedback on proposals
  • Overseeing our Pacific pipeline and coordinating teams to support business opportunities

This role requires:

  • Demonstrated experience identifying and securing funding from DAC/non-DAC government donors, multilateral agencies, corporate donors and/or foundations
  • Demonstrated experience in leading assessments of funding landscapes, and developing programme funding strategies to meet strategic goals, ideally in the Pacific
  • Highly developed networking skills and ability to form productive working relationships with external donor agencies
  • Experience in developing funding proposals and tenders in humanitarian and development programs
