Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a leading protection agency with a mandate to protect, advocate and promote durable solutions for displacement affected populations.
DRC has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, currently DRC employs over 700 staff in Ukraine and will continue significant scale-up in 2024 to implement emergency response in the Protection, Economic Recovery, Shelter/NFIs and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (humanitarian mine action) sectors, using direct interventions, support to duty bearers and civil society organizations (CSOs), and partnerships with CSOs. DRC will continue and adapt its durable solutions portfolio to the evolving context.
DRC is currently looking for a highly qualified Paramedic to join the team in Kharkiv.
Please note that the position requires working in the field (more than 90% of the time)
Overall purpose of the role:
Provide on-site medical support for humanitarian demining operations. The main task of the paramedic will be to provide first aid to victims of an accident during the work process, which includes first aid, stabilization of the victim’s condition and control over his condition during the medical evacuation process. Make sure he has full access to all staff (Field level staff) for delivering first aid and any other medical support if required during the Mine Action operation period.
