The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with a contract duration of two years. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany.
Within the Humanitarian Directorate of Welthungerhilfe you will be member of a Program Management Unit (PMU) which together with a Technical Anticipatory Humanitarian Action Team (TAHAT) comprises the Operational Support Unit of an Anticipatory Humanitarian Action Program.
As Partner & Process Management Expert you will be responsible to review and ensure the partner contract requirements and implementation requirements of the international humanitarian NGO partners and their respective local humanitarian NGO partners for program funds in terms of due diligence assessments. In addition, the position includes monitoring and reviewing the proper implementation of partner contracts in accordance with the specified regulations and quality standards. In case needed you will have international duty travels with a regional priority for Sub-Saharan Africa to reinforce Welthungerhilfe’s engagement in delivering effective Anticipatory Humanitarian Action (AHA) programming for people at risk of hazards, particularly in working with international NGO and respective local humanitarian NGO partners to strengthen their Anticipatory Humanitarian Action capacities.
Your responsibilities
- Coordination, review and assurance of partner contract requirements in terms of due diligence assessments
- Monitoring and reviewing the proper implementation of partner contracts in accordance with the specified regulations and quality standards
- Coordination and management of partner contracts in accordance with internal and external regulations
- Coordinate and ensure the input and update of partner contract data in FundsPro (partner contract management of the program) and reconciliation with ProMIS
- Preparation of partner contract overviews for budget monitoring purposes
- In cooperation with the program/project management, ensuring up-to-date expenditure and revenue/liquidity planning
- Quality check and assurance, preparation of aggregated internal and external partner contract reports in cooperation with the program/project management
- Contact person for partner contract reports and partner contract inquiries
- In coordination with the relevant partner contract contact person(s) of the participating country offices for partner contract related issues concerning the program
- Provide operational support in documentation, compliance monitoring, contract management, as well asreporting to the Program Management Unit (PMU) and Partners
- Support and coordination of internal and external audits and implementation of improvement measures
- In cooperation with the program/project management, reconciliation of partner contract data between FundsPro and ProMIS
- Assist in the coordination and management of finances in accordance with internal and external regulations
Your profile
- A univerity or college degree or completed commercial training in a relevant field such as business administration and/or controlling
- At least 1 to 3 years of professional experience in the contractual and/or financial management of programs
- Experience in the management of donor and partner projects/programs
- Several years of international experience in partner contract management or partner financial management are desirable
- Ability to work under pressure and willingness to travel to areas with volatile local conditions
- Excellent spoken and written German and English language skills. French language skills are desirable.
