Partnerships Manager

 

Save the Children Vanuatu is pursuing a localisation agenda in Vanuatu with three integrated elements; local communities at the heart of programme design and feedback, a model for local actors to access funding directly, and strengthening of the national system to coordinate and respond to humanitarian and development needs. Save the Children seeks a Partnerships Manager to develop equitable partnerships with civil society, government, and private sector to advance this agenda.

 

Where you come in:

 

In this fulltime contract position based in Port Vila Vanuatu, you will use your in-depth contextual understanding, technical expertise, and relationship building skills to provide a critical link between Save the Children’s country strategic goals and the government and civil society partners we work with.

You will contribute to building capacity and fostering networks across the country and region, including internal stakeholders involved in our programs, and lead strategic and project initiatives that strengthen the organisational capacity, ownership and agency of partners and civil society organisations.

You will support advocacy, influencing and contribute to strategic partnerships for new business development.

 

You will make an impact by:

 

  • Building strong networks with civil society partners to amplify the reach of Save the Children programming
  • Supporting advocacy and influencing for a more collaborative civic space to realise impact for children
  • Sharing learning across our programmes, teams and partners, to improve the quality of our programs
  • Representing Save the Children on priority issues including civil society strengthening, children’s advocacy issues, and private sector engagement
  • Forging strategic partnerships for new business development opportunities
  • Promoting the inclusion of children’s voices in decision-making processes, recognizing them as crucial partners in all aspects of our programming in Vanuatu

You have networking and coordination skills, excited to learn, adhere to policies & guidelines and able to work in a flexible and high achieving team.

 

This role requires:

 

  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines, responsive to external requests and be a strong team player.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with government engagement processes, reporting frameworks, and MOU establishment.
  • Knowledge of capacity development approaches and experience supporting partners in achieving their objectives.
  • Passion for empowering children and ensuring their meaningful participation in programmatic activities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas in a
  • clear and concise manner.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
