We are looking for one (1) qualified Cambodian candidate to join World Vision Cambodia.

Position:                 People & Culture Business Partner

Location:                Battambang Province

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

World Vision International-Cambodia was established in 1970. It has over 40 Area Development Programs in 8 provinces around Cambodia, as well as a presence in Phnom Penh. WVC has 800+ staff serving in Project, Program and Operations sectors such as Health & Nutrition, Education, Child Protection and Youth.

P&C aims to serve and support the staff and managers hired to accomplish World Vision’s strategic priorities.

The P&C Business Partner will provide strategic partnering, consultancy and guidance to customer group leaders, managers, supervisors and employees in various P&C functions including performance management, employee relations, P&C policies and procedures, compensation, benefits, recruitment and training.

This position will also provide HR administrative and implementation support for topics such as recruitment, employee data maintenance and benefits administration.

 

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES (strategic and operational)

  • Act as thought partner with managers to improve people-related priorities
  • Provide guidance, clarity and direction to staff and managers on policy interpretation, processes and payroll/benefits
  • Facilitates recruitment process for customer group
  • Assists in development and revision of P&C policies
  • Coordinate Administrative P&C responsibilities including contract administration, employee data maintenance and benefits administration

 

III. REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in Management, Rural Development, Social Science, development studies, Business Management etc.
  • 5+ years of experience in the development sector and 3+ years in managing and leading multi-functional teams.
  • Excellent relational skills, especially in a cross-cultural environment, and ability to work well with national and International staff.
  •  At least 2+ years’ experience in the Human Resources field
  • 2+ years’ experience in management experience
  • Professional Certificate in Human Resources
  • University degree (Preferred to be in a field such as Business Admin, Legal, or HR Management)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to organize work priorities, manage competing priorities and deliver on commitments
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of staff, orally and in writing
  • Broad P&C knowledge combined with critical thinking skills to relate P&C areas with broader WV and humanitarian context
  • Proficient in coaching, mediating, influencing, facilitating, presenting, training, analysis, and problem solving
  • Computer skills, especially with Word, Excel, and Powerpoint as well as internet navigation and electronic records management
  • Knowledge of World Vision and the humanitarian industry
