You have:

  • A university degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Law, Business Administration or an acceptable combination of education and experience. A professional HR designation is an asset.
  • Proficiency in English and French (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Significant and recent experience providing strategic HR advice and guidance to all levels of management and employees in a unionized environment.
  • Experience leading organizational change. A change management certification is an asset.
  • An in-depth understanding of human resources trends, disciplines and best practices.
  • An enhanced knowledge of the policies, procedures and practices governing HR in an international context.

You are:

  • An experienced communicator with excellent people skills able to influence decision makers using sound judgement, discretion and diplomacy.

  • A collaborator in a team environment with strong leadership skills, comfortable within a multidisciplinary group of people from diverse cultures.
  • Driven and client-focused with the capacity to manage high client demands, keeping in mind the wider organization’s priorities.

You are interested in:

  • Delivering integrated HR business solutions aligned with and in support of IDRC’s strategic objectives and business plans.
  • Providing HR leadership, advice and guidance to relevant internal clients within a portfolio approach for all levels of IDRC staff in Ottawa and in international regions.
  • Participating in and leading key strategic and operational discussions.
  • Adding values to the business. Putting creative solutions in place to meet strategic and operational challenges.
  • Joining an organization that values and models diversity, inclusion, and equity.

* Hybrid Mode: Have the flexibility to work in hybrid mode (Minimum 3 days out of 10 in the office).
