The Power Africa Energy Transition Advisor sits within the Power Africa Coordinator’s Office (PACO) Partnerships Office and serves as a link between Power Africa’s interagency partners, the private sector, and development partners, facilitating coordination and collaboration among them on matters related to sub-Saharan Africa’s energy transition. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and activity implementation to address the continent’s transition to a low carbon economy that ensures energy access and security. The Energy Transition Advisor operates within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, working under the general direction of the Partnerships Office Leadership, or designee, and in conjunction with PACO technical teams. The incumbent coordinates between senior officials, public- and private- sector stakeholders, as well as subject matter experts to provide expertise and guidance.
This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the advancement of Power Africa’s topline priorities, shape partnership strategies, and promote effective collaboration among partners to address energy access and electrification in sub-Saharan Africa.
