The role:
The Principal Account Manager will provide business and people leadership to a diverse and distributed team of Account Management professionals. As a Customer advocate for The NCI Agency, the Principal Account Manager will foster strategic level relationships both within industry, internally within The NCI Agency and wider NATO communities. The new Principal Account Manager will build and sustain Customer business intake opportunities and monitor the successful delivery of services to its diverse and complex customers of NATO Nations and its Partners. The post will focus on three key areas:
- Strategic Requirement Management: address requests from sponsors, ensuring proper internal assignment and timely response with regard to business intake through to project closure the PAM will manage the relationships and engage with key stakeholders at all levels
- Relationship Management: take proactive initiative in nurturing sponsor relationships and promote the NCI Agency’s capabilities across the variety of technology domains NATO operates
- Reporting and Review: providing reporting material on the status of the portfolio, including for the development of the Demand Forecast, Price Proposals, monthly reports, quarterly Project Reviews and annual report.

About you:
You easily establish good relationship and are able to relate to people at all levels. You produce new ideas, approaches and insights to deliver innovate solutions to problems. Able to adapt to changing circumstances you can manage ambiguity, accept new ideas and change initiatives, further to this you have:
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Service Management principles and execution in a similar organization or environment
- Knowledge and experience in project management and in-service support planning and operations in a business or military organization that is relevant in the NATO context
- Knowledge and experience involving the development or acquisition, implementation and sustainment of major complex enterprise systems and/or programmes
- Experience in the management, preparation and promotion of service proposals, principally SLAs;
- Proven knowledge and understanding of Customer Relationship Management
- Proven ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with excellent briefing and presentation skills and the ability to produce clear and concise reports
- Demonstrable leadership and management qualification and relevant experience for both small and large teams
- Proven experience in the use of computer-based support tools with an emphasis on Microsoft Office and planning tools
- Ideally able to demonstrable NATO experience or equivalent national experience dealing with NATO agencies that includes knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT. In addition knowledge of NATO procedures for planning, acquisition, programming and implementation of common-funded projects as well as Operations and Maintenance of these capabilities
- Ideally extensive and recent operational experience (at least 5 years) in the use of fielded CIS systems
- Demonstrated Project Management experience, attained in a military, defence, or industry organization
- Ideally an ITIL certification
