Based in Norfolk, Virginia, USA you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting Cable Plant Infrastructure Services within CSU Norfolk – the leading technology service provider for local NATO entities in North America. You will monitor and perform quality assurance on cable infrastructure work performed by commercial contractors and outside agencies. You will also be responsible for developing and executing plans of work for cable infrastructure projects, including the requisite site surveys, resource planning and written statement of work for any outsourced jobs. About you
We’re looking for a talented and knowledgeable Principal Technician (Cable Management) with ideally higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 3 years post-related experience, or a secondary educational qualification with 5 years post-related experience.
We seek your knowledge and expertise with the following:
• Developing and leading cable infrastructure related projects along with the associated installation team
• Operation & maintenance of networked CIS systems
• Maintaining, implementing, configuring, and testing of modern communications, or information systems in a LAN/WAN environment
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
