Based in Mons, Belgium you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour.
The NATO Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is responsible for planning and executing all lifecycle management activities for cyber security. In executing this responsibility, NCSC provides specialist cyber security-related services covering the spectrum of scientific, technical, acquisition, operations, maintenance, and sustainment support, throughout the lifecycle of NATO Communications and Information Systems (CIS).
The Infrastructure Branch delivers a suite of enabling services in the specific areas of Cryptography, Identity Management, Technical Services (supporting CS Operations) and CIS Protection. These services include integration and validation of NATOs crypto solutions, lifecycle management of cryptographic equipment and keys, operation and logistic support for NATO-wide online and offline cryptographic equipment, identity management services, gateway services, specialized enterprise-wide CS infrastructure (including NCSC elements), applications, implementation, configuration and management of NATO Enterprise-wide endpoint security software.
You will act as Crypto Accounts Manager, will administer the Crypto Accounting, Reporting and Distribution System (CARDS), the NATO Electronic Key Management System Manager (NEKMS) and will act as Controlling Authority of cryptographic material and support crisis management exercise and peacekeeping operational crypto procedures and material requirements.
You will also be responsible for the delivery, support and supervision of training courses, control and distribution of Cryptographic material, monitoring controlling authority activities, serving as Helpdesk for all Electronic Key management systems and to write Security Directives.

About you
We are looking for a talented and knowledgeable Crypto Services Technician with a Higher Vocational training in a relevant discipline and 3 years of post-related experience.
A different qualification coupled with particularly relevant experience may also be considered.
You should also have:
· 3 years extensive experience with Cryptographic Systems, design, management and implementation of modern Cryptographic systems and applications
· Very good knowledge of CRYPTO accounting and distribution
· Experienced in and have a good knowledge of COMSEC principles and practices, including physical security standards relating to COMSEC
· Extensive experience in operating systems backup and restore
· Extensive experience in the analysis of risk and in the implementation and integration of INFOSEC protective measures
· Good knowledge of modern communication and Internet Protocol (IP) based networking technologies and systems including security aspects
· Good experience with latest Virtualization Technologies
· Working knowledge of the operation of communications systems and troubleshooting techniques
· A good knowledge of public key infrastructure technology
Knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is essential.
