Based in Mons, Belgium you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour.
The NATO Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is responsible for planning and executing all lifecycle management activities for cyber security. In executing this responsibility, NCSC provides specialist cyber security-related services covering the spectrum of scientific, technical, acquisition, operations, maintenance, and sustainment support, throughout the lifecycle of NATO Communications and Information Systems (CIS).
The Cyber Security Operations Branch mission is to monitor, detect, analyze and respond to cyber incidents and cyber threat activity. It acts as the NATO Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) for NATO with a NATO-wide mandate. It is responsible for sharing information related to cyber security incidents with NATO, Allies, NCIA industry partners and other stakeholders.
The OPCEN and Crypto Services Support Cell (OCSSC) is responsible for 24/7 monitoring of crypto devices, NATO Internet-facing websites and Internet email traffic to detect and troubleshoot any crypto failures and to detect and report any security incidents
You will perform Information Assurance incident management, 24/7 helpdesk service management, management of Secure Management Centre’s and of NATO Wide PKI user profiles, CA certificates, End-User certificates, other root CA domains certificates, CRLs and ARLs. You will also be responsible for the receipt, storage and accounting of Crypto material issued for the operation of the Secure Management Centre, for Cyber Security 24/7 watch-keeping duties and to offer support to incident response as the entry point for the reporting of cyber security incidents.

About you
We are looking for a talented and knowledgeable Principal Technician (Cyber Security Operations) with a Higher Vocational training in a relevant discipline and 3 years of post-related experience.
A different qualification coupled with particularly relevant experience may also be considered.
You should also have:
· A good knowledge of Computer Security principles and procedures. Proficiency with Cryptography Technology. Knowledge of Internet Protocol based networks and components (routers and switches)
· Sound Telecommunications background with a minimum of three years’ experience in the management or installation of data communications equipment
· A good knowledge of public key infrastructure technology
· Working knowledge of Crypto systems and techniques
· Working knowledge of Router configuration
· Familiarity or proficiency with NATO/National Crypto security policies and procedures
· Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of computer and communications security, networking, and the vulnerabilities of modern operating systems and applications
· Extensive experience in the analysis of risk and in the implementation and integration of Information Security protective measures
· A high level of knowledge of network, system and application level troubleshooting techniques
· Ability to use office automation tools to an advanced standard (MS Office Professional)
· A good familiarity and understanding of military communication systems and networks
· A good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Administration techniques
Knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is essential.
