Based in Brunssum, the Netherlands, you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. Under the direction of the Head of TSS, you will perform duties such as the following: Ensure the timely completion of work priorities and supervises maintenance and repair activities, emergency interventions and routine inspections on NATO deployable and static transmission systems. Assist in the development of engineering solutions and change proposals to higher headquarters across different communication systems. Co-ordinate engineering tasks with Section Head. About you
We are looking for a talented and knowledgeable Principal Technician (SATCOM Systems) with ideally Higher Vocational training in a relevant discipline (Electronic Engineering, Electromechanical, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or Electrical & Electronics) with 3 years post-related experience, or a secondary educational qualification with 5 years post-related of experience.
A different qualification coupled with particularly relevant experience may also be considered.
A minimum of 3 years, in the past 10 years, of working in the electronic field with advanced knowledge and experience on: SHF, HF, VHF, UHF radios as well as high capacity line of site systems; Ground satellite terminals, network monitor and control systems and basic IP networking is required.
Knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is essential.
