The International Water Management Institute (IWMI), a CGIAR Research Center, is seeking applications from enthusiastic students who are looking to learn about and gain professional experience in procurement. The internship will be based at IWMI’s headquarters in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Scope of internship
During the internship period, the selected candidate will report to the Senior Procurement Officer and will work closely with IWMI’s Procurement Office for effective and timely procurement services for IWMI headquarters. The intern is expected to assist in handling all inward/outward shipments and duty-free clearance of items. They should maintain impartial and ethical customer-oriented relations with suppliers and also exchange relevant information with counterparts in other departments.

IWMI will provide a monthly stipend to the selected candidate during the internship period.
The duration of the initial internship contract will be for 6 months with the possibility of extension for another 6 months based on performance, requirements of IWMI and the availability of funds. This is a nationally recruited internship and only Sri Lankans are eligible to apply.
