Position Overview:

 

TheNursing Program Associate is an integral member of the nursing team and will work within theTheory of Change branch acrossPartners In Health (PIH). This role will provide administrative and program support to the nursing team and play an essential role in supporting the growing portfolio of donor, grant, and partnership management specific to nursing with an emphasis on improving internal team processes for efficiency.The Nursing Program Associate will be responsible for content development related to various nursing efforts and integration across both care delivery and theU.S. CoordinationSite. Additionally, this person will provide direct logistical and project management support to the Deputy Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and Nursing team.The Program Associate will serve as the Nursing team’s hub connecting our programs between PIH both for an internal and external audience.

Responsibilities:

 

Content Creation (40%)

  • Creates a variety of written materials for various stakeholders and strategic partners, including conference pitches, reports, nomination letters, concept notes, PowerPoints, etc.
  • Creates materials for speaking engagements and other writing for communications and advocacy
  • Manages cross-site communication to provide accessible interfacing with stakeholders both internally and externally to PIH
  • Writes quarterly newsletters with the Senior Program Associate to share the work happening across the PIH Nursing & Midwifery community
  • Participates in grant writing in partnership with Development and the Nursing team
  • Assists with the composition of mid-year and annual reports for donors and grants
  • Writes, edits, and supports requests for funding from donors as well as manages donor reporting per grant requirements.
  • Supports requests from nursing teams at care delivery sites through drafting documents, facilitating cross-site connections, and spearheading follow-up

 

  • Supports abstract, and poster presentation development at both the care delivery and U.S. Coordination Site
  • Proficiency in research skills such as conducting literature reviews, searching databases, non-peer-reviewed literature and synthesizing articles

 

Strategic Support, Process & Operations (40%)

  • Administers core operational systems and processes that help the team run smoothly, including but not limited to knowledge management platform facilitation
  • Serves as a key thought partner to the nursing team strategy and initiatives, including but not limited to the stewardship of an inclusive PIH nursing community, Nursing Centers of Excellence and a PIH Nursing & Midwifery Steering Committee
  • Provides administrative and logistical support to the Deputy CNO and Nursing team, including meeting scheduling and planning and note taking to ensure objectives are met on time

 

Global Nursing Executive Fellowship (20%)

  • Provides administrative and logistical support to key PIH Nursing & Midwifery initiatives, including the Global Nurse Executive Fellowship (GNEF)
  • Will provide logistical and administrative support to the GNEF team primarily in the form of note taking, scheduling meetings, drafting and sending emails and facilitating travel and coordination for in person gatherings

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • 3-5 years of previous experience at a non-profit or similar organization
  • High degree of tolerance for ambiguity, and adaptability to working in a dynamic environment
  • Advanced organizational skills and capacity to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to take initiative; must be a quick learner, able to manage competing priorities and easily adapt to changing circumstances
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with culturally diverse staff across departments and countries in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer skills in word processing, database and spreadsheet programs; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Interest in social justice and public health strongly desirable
  • Ability to successfully communicate clearly and effectively in writing with diverse stakeholders in person, on the phone in writing and via video calls
  • Experience with knowledge management platforms, including SharePoint and Tovuti, preferred
  • Process oriented and motivated to make team operations more efficient.
  • Fluency in English is required, Haitian Creole and/or Spanish is a plus.
  • Remote or hybrid work experience is preferable
