Position Title: Program Associate, Skills to Launch Location: North Little Rock, Arkansas (Hybrid) Department: Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub Status: Part-time, up to 25 hours weekly

POSITION SUMMARY Position Purpose: The Innovation Hub Program Associate, Skills to Launch is a part-time position dedicated to assisting the operational needs of the Skills to Launch program and its Program Officer. This is a role that will efficiently help develop best processes of Skills to Launch through recruitment, scheduling, researching, and data collecting. This individual will be responsible for collaboratively working with the Program Officer to ensure success of each cohort in its operational duties and participant outcomes. Position Overview: The Program Associate, Skills to Launch assists in the processes of each cohort regarding recruitment, scheduling, communication, and data research. This position reports to the Program Officer and works with other stakeholders within the Skills to Launch program.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Major Responsibilities Research and maintain current and relative local job openings within the Skills to Launch industries of training. Keep collected data in an accessible format for Skills to Launch participants. Maintain excellent data of current cohort participants throughout the application processes. Work with Skills to Launch partners, such as iDatafy, to ensure students are exposed to multiple employment opportunities. Communicate effectively with Program Officer on Skills to Launch participants’ application processes and outcomes.

Organize Skills to Launch Scholarship application responses for the next available cohort. Communicate professionally while keeping call logs of screen calls and scheduling Skills to Launch Scholarship applicants for an interview with Program Officer. Assist Program Officer in the operational planning and executing of events such as Skills to Launch OSHA-10 training, Skills to Launch Graduation, High School Career Fairs, Local/Regional Career Fairs, etc. Assist Program Officer with soft skills development scheduling such as industry site visits, on-the-job training, mock interviews, guest presenters, etc. Visit class sessions once a week to ensure participants are attending and to maintain a positive relationship with program partners and the Skills to Launch participants.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in related field required. Experience: Experience working in an area of education, customer service, or office management preferred. Computer/Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.). Google and SharePoint knowledge a plus. Accurate and precise attention to detail. Knowledge of organizational practices a must.

Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to write clearly and concisely. Language: Fluency in English is required. Required Travel: Minimal to no travel. Position-Specific Skills: Strong organizational skills coordinating a variety of tasks simultaneously. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Experience as an educator or office manager Physical Demands: Able to lift up to 25 lbs. This position typically requires sitting for long periods of office work, standing, bending, and reaching. Hourly work schedule: This position is part-time, up to 25 hours weekly.
