Program: Sustainable and Inclusive Economies (SIE)

Location: Ottawa, Canada (Hybrid Mode*)

You have:

  • Master’s degree in a discipline such as economics, international development, gender studies.
  • English and French intermediate reading, writing, and speaking skills.
  • Significant and recent experience with donor reporting as it relates to the support of research partnerships.
  • An in-depth understanding of leading both evaluation and learning processes within an international development organization.
  • An enhanced awareness of knowledge translation best practices and procedures.
  • A strong grasp of barriers and opportunities for women’s economic empowerment in low and middle-income countries (LMICS).

You are:

  • Organized and able to effectively prioritize immediate program needs, while simultaneously balancing organizational objectives.
  • A skilled communicator who is familiar with a variety of communications strategies.
  • A team player who thrives within a research-based environment that requires dedicated relationship building and openness to working with researchers from diverse cultures across the world.
  • Comfortable leading consultations and building consensus with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Passionate about improvements in lives and livelihoods of marginalized women and girls in LMICS.

You are interested in:

  • Identification and development of research proposals in accordance with organizational standards and policies.
  • Assisting in the coordination of research activities of collaborative projects between local researchers and fostering communities of practice.
  • Researching and evaluating emerging key development trends and priorities relevant to sustainable inclusive economies.
  • Supporting the implementation of program strategies for knowledge synthesis, monitoring and evaluation, as well as communications and engagement strategies.
  • Joining an organization that values and models diversity, inclusion, and equity.

Additional Information:

*Hybrid Mode: Have the flexibility to work in hybrid mode (3 days out of 10 in the office).

This position requires frequent international travel.
