Appointment Type: This is an excepted service, time-limited appointment that is not-to-exceed three (3) years; may be considered for 2 two year extensions depending on the needs of the Service.
Salary: (USD) $132,860 to 191,900, per year
Number of Vacancies: 1
Telework Eligibility: Telework eligible for up to four days per pay period (two days per week).
Remote Eligibility: The position is NOT remote eligible.

Description of Organization: The Bureau leads USAID’s integrated and inclusive approach to confront the crises of food security and climate change. The Bureau coordinates across USAID Missions, Bureaus and independent offices to foster a world in which all people have sustained access to safe water, nutritious food, a healthy environment and improved livelihoods as a result of inclusive, locally driven development strategies that protect the planet and our future. Through the Bureau, USAID leads Feed the Future, the U.S. government’s flagship program designed to combat global hunger and food insecurity; spearheads the implementation of the U.S. Global Water Strategy; and co-leads the implementation of the President’s Emergency Plan for Adaptation and Resilience (PREPARE), which is the U.S. government’s contribution to the global effort to address the impacts of the climate crisis.
