Key Responsibilities:

 

Project Coordination

  • Work closely with RIDE Project Manager, RIDE Project Coordinator and external Partners to ensure meaningful participation of women, girls and persons with disability in marginalized communities in all project activities.
  • Support and facilitate workshops, trainings and outreach activities to strengthen the capacity of partners to be GEDSI-responsive.
  • Work with Monitoring and Evaluation team in tracking disaggregated data, measurement and analysis related to GEDSI integration across activities.
  • Coordinate with relevant local stakeholders on supporting Disability across the target sites.
  • Attend relevant meetings and workshops arranged by partners and local stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Implementation of Project Activities

  • Support Project Coordinator to put together a detailed implementation plan with budgets and schedules for activities to be implemented. Implement the project activities as per the project detailed implementation plan within the scope of the project and the budget allocated for per activities.
  • Ensure implementation takes into consideration appropriate standards such as do no harm, safeguarding and GEDSI.
  • Liaise and coordinate with DPOs for project activity implementation.

 

Representation and Networking

  • Actively engage with communities and DPOs and other stakeholders relevant to the project to ensure that there is support for project activities. Ongoing relationship-building throughout the duration of the project with schools, school boards, district and provincial education offices.
  • Run Advocacy Workshops and trainings supporting PNG ADP in all target sites.

 

Administration & Documentation

  • Submit reports in a timely manner as required both internal and donor reports.
  • Support coordination of program assessments, baselines, and evaluations and other assessments
  • Present Regular progress reports at appropriate meetings
  • File all program documentation appropriately (electronically and paper filing as necessary)
  • Analysis of and reporting to Project Coordinator, Project Manager and Portfolio Lead for Education on project achievements and issues and challenges
  • Work closely with the project for logistical ease particularly for transportation.

 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION/SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field in social work, education, development or equivalent, disability
  • 3-5 years’ work experience in relevant field.
  • Experience and knowledge in managing and implementing projects funded by external grants, especially Australian Government, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) grants.
  • Basic Project Management Skills, Report Writing skills, Creativity skills to design, visualize branding materials and Initiatives of implementations.
  • Experience in the disability sector
  • Experience in Provincial and District Administration structure and process
  • Experience in facilitation of workshops and trainings on gender disability and social inclusion GEDSI
  • Basic knowledge of gender and social inclusion concepts and tools, especially with disability
  • A clear understanding and context of gender, disability and social inclusion and prior experience in a role that promotes GEDSI.
