Duties and Responsibilities
Under the responsibility of the Project Officer, Trading Systems, Services and Creative Economy (TSCE) Branch, Divison on International Trade and Commodities (DITC), the Individual Contractor will provide
– Administrative support in the preparation of UNCTAD field missions to Mozambique in particular with regard to facilitation of travel arrangements, including entry Visa for incoming UNCTAD staff and consultants, and assistance in securing hotel accommodation and airport/hotel transfer
– Work with MIC and UNCTAD on the preparation of the list of participants for each training or meeting and the venue of the meeting in Maputo and preparation and organization of the training material
– Support UNCTAD in the local procurement of relevant services provider for the consideration of UNCTAD, including catering translation and interpretation services.
– Work with MIC and the PMU in the preparation of UNCTAD participation in the Project Technical Committee (Steering Committee) meetings
– Ensure that all the necessary communication and visibility through media materials for all UNCTAD project related events, including training workshops, in coordination with MIC and UNIDO/PMU.
Qualifications/special skills
Advanced university degree, Master, in economics, international trade or related area is required.
Relevant work experience in assisting project management in the area of trade remedies in Mozambique is required.
Languages
Fluency oral and written in English and Protuguese is required
