Key Responsibilities:

 

 

i) Project management and evaluation ​

  • Supervise ongoing project through maintaining of an updated Plan of Action to ensure that activities are carried out as per the approved operational guidelines.
  • Maintain quality through compliance.
  • Coordinate and consult Technical Experts to ensure the smooth running of the project.
  • Provide T6 Log frame financial report variance explanations on a monthly basis.

ii) Representation & Net working

  • Represent WV at donor meetings/joint agency assessments or studies, Task force.
  • Develop and maintain links with NGO’s, Local Level authorities and community representatives.
  • Develop and maintain donor relationship for adequate funding needs.
  • Host effective donor visits

iii) High Quality of Documentation

  • Ensure reports are submitted in a timely manner and meeting reporting requirement
  • Mange the coordination of project evaluations
  • Present Regular progress reports at appropriate meeting’s
  • Ensure monthly monitoring and submission of monthly reports

iv) Capacity Building & team management

  • Provide leadership to the team members.
  • Manage recruitment & capacity building of the team members.
  • Oversee capacity building for the Protected Area Committees and Communities

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION/SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or College qualifications in Project Management is Desirable.
  • 5 years or more experience in community development or in a relief setting with management experience
  • Experience in project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing.
  • Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity.
  • Effective in written and oral communication; able to speak and write with a high standard of English.
  • Computer literate
