Job Description

Looking for your next career move? Consider this!

We’re seeking internal applications for a passionate, dedicated Project Lead based out of Carlton Victoria to support multiple projects across Victoria, South Australia, and New South Wales. This is a full time, maximum term position through to end of June 2024. If you meet many, but not all the requirements, you should still speak to us.

Where you come in:

You’ll provide a combination of operational, administrative and business development support to the Southern States team (VIC, SA and NSW) on a range of key projects and initiatives. This includes our Kindergarten service and our Connected Beginnings program both of which are based in Northern Victoria. Connected Beginnings is a collective impact program which supports Aboriginal children to be school ready. This position works closely with Regional Managers, head office and centralised functional teams. Ideally, you’ll be based in Melbourne though this may be negotiable.

You will make an impact by:

  • Developing consistency across services and expanding Save the Children’s programmatic footprint by providing business development support to the Southern States Team
  • Supporting workforce management for our 1800RESPECT teams in SA and Victoria
  • Leading the implementation of key projects and initiatives, including chairing internal governance meetings, engaging external stakeholders and data analysis
  • Assisting in the development of proposals for Governments, Corporates and philanthropic donors
  • Writing high-quality donor reports and other external communication to promote Save the Children’s programs in the region
  • Providing ad hoc operational and administration support to the Southern States team

Does this sound like you?

You’re a confident and adaptable all-rounder with a background in program delivery, and you’re seeking to broaden your skillset across a varied and challenging role, with the opportunity to develop experience implementing new projects across multiple locations. You’re a skilled communicator who can work across organisational boundaries, and you flourish in a fast-paced role that requires autonomy, problem-solving and prioritisation.

This role requires:

  • Experience in developing donor reports and supporting the creation of funding proposals
  • Experience leading projects that support the participation of children and young people to express views on issues that are relevant to them
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with local community organisations, government, schools and other key stakeholders
  • A solid understanding of the sector gained through project design and/or service delivery
  • Qualification in a relevant field, such as social work, policy, or community development would be preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Some travel to regional Victoria

Sound interesting?

We’d love to hear from you. For more information please see Position Description – Project Lead or speak to Gai Campbell – State Director on 0484 359 116 or [email protected]
