The Opportunity

  • The post holder is accountable for Assist target women and girls to organize themselves into livelihood self-groups.
  • Organize training sessions on life skills for target vulnerable groups in the target communities.
  • Definition of the seeds package to establish new income generating activities in coordination with the SDAE and in consultation with the farmers.
  • Provision of training on small business development plans, including savings and loans and follow up assistance on income generating activities for the vulnerable groups and farmers associations.
  • Facilitate Cash for Work short schemes for construction or rehabilitation for small community initiatives.
  • Conduct consultative meetings with farmers associations and SDAEs to identify new income generating activities to be supported with project start up support and training.
  • Elaborate a compile reports on project progress and on consultation’ meetings carried out and the findings and recommendations.

About You

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture and food Security or related fields from a recognized university. Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
  • Relevant years of practical work experience in Community development project, emergency response and humanitarian projects.
  • Experience in Food Security and Livelihoods coordination and Management positions in emergencies.
  • Experience in rural savings and loans under Mozambican context
  • Experience of working with women´s groups in emergency
  • Experience with the use of technology for data collection, including mobile phones/tablets and Global Positioning System (GPS) strongly preferred.

Grade: 15 (Pay range 2.1234.130,00 MT to 2.400.888,00MT annual gross) Plan reserves the right to pay according to internal procedures;
