The Organisation
Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. We believe in the power and potential of every child but know this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it is girls who are most affected.
Working together with children, young people, supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges girls and vulnerable children face. We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood and we enable children to prepare for and respond to crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge.
For over 85 years, we have rallied other determined optimists to transform the lives of all children in more than 80 countries.
We won’t stop until we are all equal.
The primary responsibility of the Project Manager (PM) is to lead the Joint Response JR5 project team, ensuring successful implementation of the project across the targeted regions in Sudan, including North Darfur and South Kordofan. The PM will oversee the development and execution of detailed annual work plans, manage stakeholder relationships, ensure compliance with organizational and donor policies, and lead the project team to achieve the desired outcomes. This includes supervising up to 6 staff members, managing project documentation, budgets, and ensuring effective communication between all parties involved. The PM will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the project’s progress, conducting site visits, and ensuring that child protection measures are integrated into all project activities.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Management, Rural Development, or a related field, with a master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years of project management experience at the field level, with at least 3 years in a similar position, is required.
