Transparency International is a global movement with one vision: a world in which government, business, civil society and the daily lives of people are free of corruption. With more than 100 chapters worldwide and an international secretariat in Berlin, we are leading the fight against corruption to turn this vision into reality.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Transparency International Secretariat is currently seeking a Project Manager, Stopping Impunity for Corruption through Enhanced Accountability (SICEA) to join the Projects Team.
The goal of the SICEA project is to build sub-regional communities of practice that promote anti-corruption reforms and leverage existing accountability mechanisms to reduce impunity for high-level corruption in Africa. Building on its existing network of Chapters in Africa, this project will be delivered with participation from 11 chapters in Congo, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Togo, Uganda and Zambia, and will enable more CSOs in Africa to engage with relevant legal accountability mechanisms and strengthen their advocacy efforts to advance anti-corruption reforms in Africa more effectively. In particular, the project will support CSOs in Africa to more effectively document corruption and engage with relevant independent accountability mechanisms to deter corruption and reduce impunity for corrupt actors, and will also strengthen CSO collaboration and capacity to more effectively promote evidence-based advocacy to advance anti-corruption reforms in Africa.
The role requires a highly motivated professional with sound experience in complex project management and monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL), excellent communication skills in both English and French, and a strong interest in good governance, legal accountability, and civil society participation in Africa.
