ROLE PURPOSE
She Leads Program
The She Leads Program is a five-year (2021-2025) strategic consortium partnership between Terre des Hommes, Plan International, Defence for Children/ECPAT, African Women’s Development and Communication Network (FEMNET), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands. The strategic objective behind the She Leads programme is to increase the sustained influence of Girls and Young Women (GYW) on decision-making and the transformation of gender norms in formal and informal institutions. This will be achieved through the attainment of three main outcomes:
The programme will be implemented in nine countries, including Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Jordan, Lebanon, Mali, Liberia, Ghana and Sierra Leone. It will also include regional and international components in the Middle East and North Africa.
The Project Officer will be responsible for providing daily support and leadership to the programme and its activities in Jordan and to support in ensuring efficient coordination with partners , and work closely with all implementing partners to achieve programme objectives. In coordination with the Regional Country Coordinator, s/he will support in ensuring that internal and external reports submitted in a timely manner and advise senior project staff on issues associated with progress in order to facilitate any necessary changes in programming
Dimensions of the Role
Communication:
Internal: the post-holder will report to the Regional/Country Manager (RCM), S/he collaborate with technical, and support teams to facilitate programme implementation.
External: the post-holder will work closely with all implementing partners, other programme stakeholders and partners. s/he will maintain strong working relationships with governmental institutions. They will ensure that programme volunteers, properly trained and involved in the implementation process, and have a clear understanding of the scope of work. In addition, s/he must maintain strong coordination between the project and other organisations and government departments to avoid duplication of services, leverage comparative strengths and to support joint activities on both level regional and country level.
External representation: s/he participate in meetings/workshops/seminars/trainings at the local and national level as required by the project or/and assigned by the RCM.
Budget/Asset management: the post-holder will support the Regional/Country manager in managing the budget through tracking programme expenditure, developing foreseen forecasts, and managing programme procurement.
Accountabilities
Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People, Programme Participants and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and Plan
Key relationships
The post-holder will have high internal contact with the Regional/Country Manager, volunteers, and the technical team and medium contact with the operation and finance team. Moreover, the post holder will have direct contact with the project partners, such as: JNCW/Shama’a and with other partners and stakeholders such as: She Leads consortium members (regional and country networks)

Physical Environment
The post-holder shall be based at Plan International Jordan offices in Amman with high probability for local travel in Jordan.
