Project Officer – GDIR ANCP ( 2 positions )

Job Description:

The purpose of the position is to ensure that all project deliverables are met within the agreed timeframe and budget in compliance with donor regulations, World Vision and international best practices, identifying and targeting beneficiaries, and supporting in the registration process

 

1)S/he will manage the Casual Workers doing the data gathering, Conduct ata cleaning and entry including maintenance of the data base.

 

2)Follow up on the running of the daily livelihood activities including service providers; deliver high quality, accurate and timely daily reports.

 

3)Conduct regular field visits to project site and update the Project Coordinator with the progress of project activities in the field using relevant tools.

 

4)S/He will be held accountable of maintaining all documentation related directly to the activities to ensure accountability to the donor, and filing all relevant project documents in line with WV’s requirements for project auditing.

 

5)S/he will provide business coaching sessions to the selected beneficiaries and conduct awareness sessions to ensure that enrolled individuals are aware of workplace safety hazards and child labor risks.

 

Facilitate project’s implementation (70%)

  • Collect information about the local context, target communities, service providers, employers, and other livelihood actors.
  • Conduct a market assessment in specific villages.
  • Produce comprehensive monthly reports detailing project progress using donor reporting tools.
  • Receive and organize files according to team standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure all aspects of daily project activities are executed as planned.
  • Implement project activities with good quality, considering local context and desired outcomes.
  • Address logistics, administration, security, visibility, community engagement, and risk management.
  • Coordinate daily workers’ tasks.
  • Prepare payment requests for cash transfers to beneficiaries.
  • Assist the Project Coordinator in producing high-quality narrative reports based on agreed templates and processes.
  • Conduct field visits to monitor project progress in different operational areas.
  • Support the Project Coordinator in developing and monitoring the project action plan.
  • Ensure casual workers receive appropriate training for conducting sessions with selected households.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with local partners, municipalities, and faith-based organizations.
  • Document lessons learned, risks, and innovations, sharing them with the program team.
  • Ensure compliance with donor policies and technical guidelines.
  • Identify safety issues and collaborate with the coordinator on safety and security matters.
  • Conduct capacity assessments for partners involved in the project.

 

Reporting, filing & tracking (15%)

  • Prepare monthly Reports as per the deadlines set.
  • Develop monthly operational progress reports with enumerators.
  • Assist in completing required information in activity reports by specified deadlines.
  • Properly file records for each case, field visit, and meeting.
  • Include major points, recommendations, and follow-up plans in reports.
  • Support the project coordinator in developing various project reports.
  • Maintain daily records of means of verification (attendance sheets, pre/post-tests, meeting minutes, evaluation documents).
  • Track referrals, weekly reports, and project notes.
  • Regularly follow up on Referral Tracking sheets and important records related to info sessions and psychosocial support/child protection interventions.
  • Monitor and report on session quality according to World Vision Lebanon’s monitoring and reporting frameworks.

 

Handle logistics responsibilities as necessary (10%)

  • Prepare and update the list of items to be purchased on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure that necessary materials and logistics for designated locations are in place.
  • Manage the project’s procurement needs based on the developed procurement plan assigned by the project coordinator.
  • Follow up on all procurement requests.
  • Ensure timely submission of requests to facilitate field activity implementation, meeting both World Vision International (WVI) and donor requirements.
  • Monitor administrative and logistics matters to ensure activities are implemented promptly

Perform other duties as required (5%)

  • Attend and participate in WVL’s spiritual nurture and other organizational events
  • Responsible of own security and actively contribute to a positive security culture
  • Report CP incidents as per the safeguarding policy guidelines.
  • Abide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager and / or security manager
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Line Manager

 

Required Education, training, license, registration, and/or

Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Agriculture, Economics, Social Sciences. Or equivalent
  • High understanding of technology such as (tablets/ Microsoft office and specially Excel)
  • Understanding /Experience in Microsoft Access
  • A valid driver’s license (more than 1 year old).

 

Required Professional Experience

  • 4 years of Experience within NGO’s (Cash for work activities / data gathering activities/ Cash / Vulnerability assessments / Distributions/ Partnering Capacity assessments / Market Assessments/ Climate Change Assessments)
  • Experience in data gathering at household level and focus group discussions
  • Expertise to enter, transcribe, record, maintain data/information in written or electronic forms
  • Good command of English
