Job Description
Our programs are constantly evolving with new and creative ways to improve the lives of children, their families and their communities. In this key support role, you’ll contribute to making positive changes for children and families in the East Kimberley region. You will support our program delivery, with the unique opportunity to engage with the community to develop confidence in the services and support network we are proud to deliver.

54 reasons is Australia’s leading child rights organisation – no ordinary not-for-profit.

Proudly part of the Save the Children Australia Group and global movement, we’re here to make sure that everyone understands their rights. So that children and young people have their rights met and thrive, in all their diversity.

We champion the children, young people and families we work with. We are inspired by the curiosity and creativity of children and motivated by the love of those who care for them.

With the child’s voice at the centre, we provide quality services to children and their caregivers, advocating with them so that children develop, learn, and are connected, safe and confident. Our people are proudly local, reflective of the communities we serve – in every state and territory, and across regions, remote areas and capital cities.

Where you come in:

In this part-time permanent role, 16 hours/week, based in Kununurra, you’ll assist the Communities for Children (CfC) and our Project Lead to ensure the successful delivery of the CfC program in the East Kimberley region, and provide general administrative support to the wider 54 reasons team. You’ll be part of our Kununurra team and report to our Team Leader.

You will make an impact by:

  • Supporting the effective running of programs by arranging meetings, ensuring successful program delivery, and reporting
  • Having the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and work well within a team
  • Providing general administration support to the Project Lead
  • Communicating and supplying information to stakeholders by collating and distributing data and producing informative materials

Does this sound like you?

You’re outgoing and confident with exceptional customer service skills. You’re comfortable liaising with stakeholders from all backgrounds and enjoy working in a team to create a positive working environment. You show initiative in all that you do, have strong attention to detail, and strive to produce quality work.

This role requires:

  • Prior experience in a client-facing, customer service, reception or administrative role
  • Highly developed communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Literacy in Microsoft Office, and databases, as well as other basic computer programs
  • Current valid driver’s licence
