The Office of Transformation Management (TRM) has been established to strengthen critical corporate governance and support functions linked to the digital transformation of the Fund through IT-intensive capital investment. TRM consists of three units: the Corporate Project Management Unit (CPM), the Knowledge Management Unit (KMU), and the Office of Innovation and Change (OIC). TRM will include expertise in program management, change management, knowledge management, and business process improvement.
The Business Process Modernization (BPM) function resides in the Office of Transformation Management and promotes best practices in continuous improvement and process modernization at the IMF. The BPM’s team of certified process improvement professionals work to enable IT intensive capital project teams to improve efficiencies, reduce cycle times, and minimize errors through the application of Lean, Six Sigma and Design-thinking methodologies.
Job summary
The Projects Officer (Process Modernization) will work in concert with project teams to plan and execute process improvement activities during the scoping and implementation phases of IT intensive capital projects. The Projects Officer will bring best-in-class process improvement tools and expertise to support the program team in analyzing the as-is process, identifying inefficiencies and gaps, developing mitigation actions, and designing the To-be process. The Projects Officer collaborates closely with the Program Chief, Process owners, end-users, and other members of the project team to ensure successful implementation of the To-Be process as part of the business process workstream. The Projects Officer will also work closely with IT Technical Leads and TRM Change Management officers and to ensure that process changes can be supported by the technical solution and that appropriate change management and training is done prior to implementation.

This is a one-year contractual appointment. Contractual appointments at the IMF are renewable for up to four years of cumulative contractual service, pending incumbent’s performance, budget availability and continuous business need.
All headquarters-based employees are required to adhere to our hybrid work policy and minimum in-office presence of three days per week.
