Duties and Responsibilities
The Property Management Assistant, National Individual Contractors (ICs) will be imbedded in Central Warehousing Section of Supply Chain Management Service within United Nations Support Officer in Somalia (UNSOS) , based in Nairobi , Kenya.
The Property Management Assistants shall be responsible for but not limited to the following duties;Property Management Assistant shall be responsible but not limited to the following:
Process and record inventory going in and out of the Warehouse;
Managing Stocks in Warehouse;
Assist in receiving /issuing goods and equipment from/to the storage;
Consolidate requirements and prepare goods and supplies for shipment;
Prepare required documentation for shipment;
Assisting in keeping UMOJA database updated and perform transactions in UMOJA;
Assist in raising and monitoring of CMR of various commodities for shipment to Maogadishu and Mombasa;
Plans and conduct inventory count Identify relevant legislative requirements;
Ensure tidiness and safety in the warehouse;
Establishing and maintaining functional files and technical library;
Qualifications/special skills
A minimum of three (3) years progressive responsible experience in the field of property
management, inventory control, logistics, procurement or other related fields is required.
Experience in database management and Microsoft Office suite is required.
Proficiency in use of ERP-SAP is desirable .
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the Mechanism.
For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required.
