Relief International is seeking candidates for our proposal Talent Pool for upcoming USAID projects.

About the Opportunity:

Our aim is to build a Talent Pool of strong candidatesfor:

  • Chief of Party
  • Project Director
  • Technical Advisors (WASH, Health, Education, Food Security and Livelihoods)
  • Team Leader positions

 

This is in anticipation of future multi-year, multi-million-dollar USAID-fundeddevelopment opportunities.

We are actively seeking to connect with professionals with exceptional organizational, strategic thinking, and representational skills, and are eager to hear from senior leaders with the following qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of USAID programming, approaches, and policy.
  • Demonstrable experience successfully leading the start-up, implementation, and/or closeout of large, complex USAID-funded initiatives, including management of international and local partner consortia and project design and delivery within fragile contexts.
  • Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in fields including but not limited to education, economics, business, international development, organizational development, or proven commensurate experience.
  • Solution-oriented mindsetand demonstratedcapacity to understand and meet the needs of diverse stakeholders and partners.
  • Knowledge of designing, implementing, and/or managing projects focused on Health, Nutrition, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), Education, and/or Food Secuity and Economic Recovery and Development (Livelihoods).
  • Significant previous experience working in conflict or crises situations, preferably in the countries where Relief International operates.
  • Experience managing the work of staff and subcontractors both within and beyond your area of technical expertise, such as gender, inclusive development, climate, education, private sector engagement, conservation, energy, and land and resource governance.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including professional fluency in written and spoken English (required). Professional fluency in other languages spoken in RI countries (Arabic, French, Dari, Pashto, Urdu) strongly preferred.

 

We are especially keen to hear from candidates with prior USAID experience as a Chief of Party and/or Deputy Chief of Party who can effectively spearhead RI’s programs and drive strategic direction for country missions.

 

All roles will be based in host countries, depending on the location of the funding opportunity. This includes Afghanistan, Chad, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Yemen, and Occupied Palestinian Territories (West Bank and Gaza).

 

All offers of employment are subject to donor funding and approval.

 

How will it work?

We will then conduct a technical interview with programmatic and/or operational colleagues, as relevant, andcomplete a background check.Upon successful completion of your clear background check, you will then beadded to our Proposal Talent Pool database. We will reach out to you about specific opportunitiesand discuss if your profile is part of the bid.
