Role and responsibilities

The overall purpose of the role is to assist the National and Subnational Protection Cluster IM Team in the production and dissemination of information on the population of concern, including but not limited to Protection Cluster activities information at the national and subnational level. Under the direct supervision of National Protection Cluster Information Management Officer (IMO), the Technical Officer (Information (Information Management) (TO), will support operationalizing data standards developed at the national cluster level and in the field cluster level, with focus to support a harmonized protection analysis framework at the subnational level and national level.  and to conduct a risk analysis exercise on a township level based on the global guidance shared in June 2024,

S/he will also support the cluster IMO in compiling data, conducting analysis, data collection of cluster indicators, that are included in the Myanmar HNRP, as well as providing support to the Protection Cluster Team in operationalizing Protection Incident Monitoring Systems (PIMS).

Management skills: Ability to effectively plan, organize and lead teams, and processes to achieve cluster information management objectives throughout each stage of the humanitarian programme cycle.

Coordination skills: Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including other cluster partners, NGOs, and UN agencies to achieve a common cluster objective.

Data Management: Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and visualization tools and methodologies. Knowledge of data quality assurance and data protection standards.

Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis, including the ability to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.

Data visualization: Well-versed in graphic design and in using design software such as Adobe Illustrator to create infographics, dashboards and other visual information management products
