OCHA is seeking to engage a full-time consultant to support activities of the IASB. Tasks will include but not be limited to: – Focal point for the organising conferences and events to elevate awareness on PSEAH and to highlight IASC policies and procedures, including support to the Expert Panel on Investigtions. – Organise PSEA Community of Practice global meeting in conjunction with PSEACap project. This includes session facilitation, administrative arrangements, liaising with panelists and participants, and follow up reporting. – Draft internal updates, donor reports, and public advocacy material. Coordinate contributions to UN mandated, annual reports, and appeal documents. – Assist the Senior Coordinator for PSEAH in tracking and monitoring implementation of the IASC Strategy on PSEAH. – Develop an OCHA specific training on PSEAH – Develop and deliver training on PSEAH to OCHA teams and offices where requested – Coordinate and organize implementation of the various workstreams under the Technical Advisory Group workplan. – Support clusters in improving their prevention and mitigation measures for SEA in their handbooks through a comprehensive mapping and consultative exercise. – Prepare or contribute to the preparation of various written reports, documents and communications, e.g., drafts sections of studies, background papers, policy guidelines, briefings, case studies, presentations, correspondence etc. – Provide translation for IASC tools, training, policies and guidance where relevant. – Perform other duties as required.

Duties and Responsibilities
Endorsed in 2022, the IASC PSEAH multi-year strategy articulates the IASC’s ambitions and expected results. It is centred around the following three commitments: 1) Operationalise a victim and survivor centred approach; 2) promote organisational culture change to prevent sexual misconduct; 3) support country capacity for PSEA actions. To accelerate progress against the Strategy, the IASC has committed to organising two major conferences this year, the IASC Global Workshop on PSEAH in Q1 2024 and the third iteration of the Joint IASC and CEB Meeting of Investigatory Bodies on Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Sexual Harassment in Q2 2024. The IASC global workshop creates an opportunity for country-level PSEA Coordinators to express their needs, seek support from the IASC and share best practices. The joint IASC-CEB meeting of investigatory bodies will foster discussions on capturing learning and embedding victim-centred approaches, in line with the work of the IASC Expert Panel on SEAH investigations. Objective The consultant will be responsible for the following: • Focal point for organizing conferences and events aimed at raising awareness about PSEAH and showcasing IASC policies and procedures, including the IASC Global PSEAH Workshop in April 2024, and the HNPW PSEAH Championship session. • Support administrative arrangements with the venue, drafting the agenda (content and methodology) based on participants inputs, identifying speakers, organizing panels, facilitating sessions, act as focal point for participants, drafting meeting notes and report, designing a workshop evaluation, and other logistics as needed. • Provide support to the Expert Panel on SEAH investigation standards, including meeting notes, and organizing the joint IASC and CEB Meeting of Investigatory Bodies on PSEAH. • Develop and deliver training to OCHA Country Offices and headquarters. • Coordinate and draft inputs for the revision of the PSEAH sections in the UNDAC handbook and training. • Assist the Senior Coordinator for PSEAH in tracking and monitoring implementation of the IASC Strategy on PSEAH. • Prepares or contributes to the preparation of various written reports, documents and communications, e.g., drafts sections of studies, background papers, policy guidelines, briefings, case studies, presentations, correspondence… • Drafting internal updates, donor reports and public advocacy material. • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications/special skills
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) preferably in humanitarian studies, social sciences or a related area. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Experience and skill in designing and organizing large and diverse multi-stakeholder meetings on humanitarian issues for senior leaders in a UN and Inter-Agency context is required. Experience in developing and delivering training is required. Previous professional experience in the field of sexual exploitation and abuse, gender-based violence and/or humanitarian affairs, with experience of work in humanitarian contexts is required.
Languages
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of French is desirable.
