What will a day in the life of a Psychosocial Practitioner look like? You’ll:
Enhance psychosocial support across our workforce and beneficiaries by collaborating with colleagues delivering services.
Lead the development of well-being interventions for our workforce.
Boost area capacity in psychosocial support through group sessions, 1-to-1 sessions, and direct interactions.
Capture and share psychosocial support best practices and learning, becoming a knowledge hub.
Oversee staff and volunteer management, including supervising trainee clinical psychologists or other professionals.
Monitor and report on resources delivering well-being sessions for the workforce.
To be a successful Psychosocial Practitioner, you’ll need:
Relevant qualification (e.g., Postgraduate Degree) in a field related to psychosocial support (Clinical Psychology, Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, Social Work, etc.).
Established work experience post-receiving the relevant professional qualification (e.g., service development in voluntary or statutory sector, within the U.K. or abroad).
Proficiency in trauma reactions, mental health issues, and handling complex situations involving staff/volunteer welfare.
Track record of influencing senior professionals within NHS or similar environments.
Demonstrated capability in providing clinical supervision.
Experience leading staff support provision or developing well-being systems.
Thorough understanding of psychosocial support’s evidence base and clinical applications.
Familiarity with psychosocial support concerns, including self-harm, suicidal ideation, and distressed clients.
The role could be a full time position of 35 hours for one person but we will also consider 2 x 21 hour positions or 3 x 14 hour positions.
