CARE USA currently manages, supports, and oversees 8 Country Offices (COs) in the Asia region including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines and Vietnam through the Asia regional management unit (RMU).

Within the Regional Management Unit (RMU), the Regional Business Services Director role is a key strategic leader in providing support to the COs, as well as the ARMU office, in strengthening business services systems, processes, and practices, with focus on Finance and Risk Management. They will report to the Regional Director, with a dotted line reporting to the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) and will provide the following key business services operations oversight and support to country offices.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Business Service operations support and oversight to country offices.
  • Regional Business Service Operations review, analysis and improvements.
  • Serve as a network connector and liaison within CARE.
  • Oversee and support country offices financial planning and performance.
  • Asia RMU financial management.
  • Asia RMU business service operations management.
  • Backstopping for Country Offices as may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive and relevant work experience at Country Office or Regional set up in a similar sized INGO.
  • At least 7-10 years of experience demonstrating knowledge of bilateral and/or multilateral institutional donor grants and operations management, finance and compliance practices working with and interpreting applicable donor rules and regulations.
  • Experience with operational process reviews, analyzing data to make decisions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of or professional experience with working in the Asia region.
