We are looking for one (1) qualified Cambodian candidate to join World Vision Cambodia.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Regional Manager will provide overall leadership to Area Programme Office (AP’s- District based Offices) as assigned in their provincial locations. The Regional Manager will ensure quality implementation of WV’s child-focused development programming in the APs, which contributes to the increasing Child well-being impact, especially to the most vulnerable children and their communities. She/he is the delegate to represent WV’s leadership to local authorities and organizations within the assigned province.

This is a key position of WVI-C, is based in the assigned province and will be responsible accountable for the health and performance for the offices under the leadership. The RM leads a number of AP Managers and functional staff such as finance, admin, IT, sector technical staff who are based in province supporting AP’s (both direct and matrix reporting).

RM would take the ownership and responsibility not only on the programmatic side but also on the staff care and wellbeing of employees, providing wholistic leadership.  The RM will lead 70-100 full time employees in the Region.

 

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES (strategic and operational)

  • To provide strategic leadership and oversight to the Sponsorship based Area Programme Office (APs), and projects funded by grants, PNS – private non-sponsorship.
  • To ensure that programs and projects produce quality designs that are community-based, child-focused, and reflect World Vision’s Christian identity.
  • To facilitate the appropriate integration and smooth implementation of private/non-sponsorship and grant-funded projects within the offices in support of National Strategic priorities.
  • Lead a team of our competent Cambodian staff and build them up to provide strong leadership and management in their own areas of responsibility.

 

III. REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in Management, Rural Development, Social Science, development studies, Business Management etc.
  • 5+ years of experience in the development sector and 3+ years in managing and leading multi-functional teams.
  • Excellent relational skills, especially in a cross-cultural environment, and ability to work well with national and

International staff.

  • Strong strategic and operational planning and managing skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, navigate problems, deliver results balancing organisational and staff wellbeing.
  • Able to work as part of a team as a positive contributor/ encourager, coach and mentor.
  • Strong experience in working with local govt and local authorities. Competently able to lead conversations, negotiations, and handle external representation with stakeholders e.g., Govt, donors, partners.
  • Demonstrated experience in program monitoring, evaluation, and report writing.
  • Ability to boldly demonstrate and live out our Christian values, principles, ethics, supporting organisational vision, mission and core values.
