About the position
We are looking for a Research Associate with basic computational skills and knowledge of Python and deep
learning techniques and architectures. The goal is to utilize Ground Penetrating Radar analysis and deep
learning methods developed by the phenomics team. The research associate will also learn different remote
sensing and image analysis pipelines already developed by the phenomics platform. The professional selected
will also work with consultants and scientists to learn Agricultural remote sensing technologies (drones, robots,
and satellites) and support them to develop field protocols. The Research Associate will also support field data
collection, image data handling, and server storage under the supervision of senior engineers and data center
researchers.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Analyze data coming from Ground Penetrating Radar.
Support Deep learning team to develop root biomass prediction models.
Develop SOP of data collection if needed.
Coordinate with operations teams for data collection.
Collect drone and satellite images periodically from trial sites.
Develop HTP Image analysis and machine learning pipeline and improve if necessary.
Integrate different sources of data and manage data in the server

Qualifications and requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electronic Engineer or similar careers.
Relevant experience and knowledge of drone and satellite Image analysis, machine learning algorithms.
Experience in experimental design and knowledge of plant systems.
Experience in analysis of large data sets; skilled in computer science, e.g., scripting languages and statistics such as “Python–” and “R–“; knowledge of quantitative image and analysis and data extraction
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of a broad range of techniques including crop image computing, computer vision, or machine learning.
