Job Purpose
We are looking for two (2) Research Technicians to fill this role and contribute in achieving the field, laboratory, and greenhouse milestones related to REMET (Reducing Methane Emissions from Rice) project research.
This position will be based at the IRRI Headquarters, Los Baños, Philippines and may only be filled by permanent citizens of the Philippines.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Contribute in achieving the field, laboratory, and greenhouse milestones related to REMET (Reducing Methane Emissions from Rice) project research
- Under the close supervision of the researcher, provide basic support in field, laboratory, and greenhouse operations to achieve timely completion of all specified tasks assigned by the researcher
- Data collection and documentation on plant, soil, and greenhouse gas measurements
- Assist in sample collection and processing of plant, soil, and greenhouse gas samples
- Assist in basic data collection
- Encode basic data on plant, soil, and greenhouse gas parameters
Qualifications
- High school graduate with minimum 1 (one) year relevant work experience
Skills Required
Mandatory
- Has experience in rice production
- Can work well with a team
