Amnesty International are recruiting for an Intern for 6 months to join a busy movement building and finance teams supporting the Amnesty movement globally.

JOB PURPOSE

The role of the Resource Allocation Project Assistant will be responsible in assisting the effective coordination of the Resource Allocation Mechanism (RAM) team. The role will be responsible for providing financial support for Amnesty national entities to deliver human rights work and growth. The RAM team makes sure Amnesty national entities receiving financial support from the movement are serviced to achieve greater human rights impact.

ABOUT YOU

The Resource Allocation Mechanism team are looking for someone who has excellent experience of analysing qualitative and quantative data, as well as working knowledge and experience of using MS Excel. You will have great interpersonal skills and be able to build and maintain multiple relationships across different teams.

This position would be suited very well to an individual looking to gain experience across this field, and who has a passion of human rights. Candidates with an organised, analytical minded and service focussed outlook would be a best match to this role.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with meeting organizing and agenda setting for the Resource Allocation Mechanism process and Resource Allocation Mechanism Committee
  • Assist in communication tasks to the 37 Movement entities on Resource Allocation Mechanism and Fundraising Investment Fund (FIF)
  • Coordinate the drafting and communication of Resource Allocation Mechanism Operational Grants Memorandums of Understandings
  • Keep track of Resource Allocation Mechanism one off grant expenditure and allocations to national entities

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrable experience in qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to build and maintain cooperative relationships in a multi-cultural working environment and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure including the ability to cope with deadlines, multiple tasks, and competing demands.
  • A relevant completed or on course for completion qualification, i.e. in social science; international development; public policy; business, economics or finance.
